Greeting. I’m glad you’re here. I’m Christina Kunisch, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Tennessee, with over 10 years of experience working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I’m licensed in multiple states and provide therapy through telehealth. I focus on helping people move out of feeling stuck and into a place where things feel clearer and more manageable. You can expect to feel heard, but also like we’re actually making progres, not just talking in circles. My approach is compassionate, direct, and practical. I meet you where you are while helping you build on your strengths and develop tools you can use in your day-to-day life. Therapy with me is active and collaborative, with a focus on meaningful, sustainable change.
I was drawn to working with autistic and neurodivergent clients after seeing how often they were misunderstood or expected to fit into approaches that didn’t really work for them. Many had spent years masking or feeling like something was “off,” which can be exhausting. What stood out to me is that it’s often not about something being wrong—it’s about finding ways of understanding and working with how someone naturally thinks and processes the world. I wanted to offer a space where clients can feel more at ease being themselves while also building strategies that actually fit their lives. I value this work because it helps people make sense of their experiences, ease self-criticism, and move forward in a way that feels more natural and sustainable.
I focus on helping clients notice what’s already working, even if it doesn’t feel like it at first. A lot of people come in focused on what’s going wrong, so part of the work is stepping back and recognizing the strengths, patterns, and effort that are already there. I try to create a space where you don’t feel like you have to mask or be anyone other than yourself. From there, we build on those strengths in a practical way, so the tools we’re using actually fit how you think and live. The goal is to help you feel more confident in yourself and better able to handle things in a way that feels natural and sustainable.
