About

Hi, welcome! My name is Christie Brewton (she/her), and I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Texas. I approach assessments with a collaborative and affirming mindset and have years of experience doing so. I firmly believe that *you* are the expert on your own lived experience, and I see my role as listening carefully, asking meaningful questions, and helping guide you towards a clear understanding of your unique profile. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and taken seriously, especially if you’ve felt misunderstood or overlooked in the past. Whether you’re seeking answers for personal insight, validation, or practical support, I aim to provide feedback that is clear, compassionate, and useful for you in your life.Above all, I’m honored to support you in this journey and am glad you have found Prosper Health!

Education & Licensure
PhD in School Psychology from University of Houston; MEd in Counseling Psychology from University of Houston; Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Houston.
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

In my work, I have seen many people reach adulthood without clear answers or after years of feeling misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or told that their experiences did not fit existing frameworks. What inspires me most is helping you make sense of your unique story in a way that feels validating and empowering. I feel privileged to be part of your journey and to support you in gaining a deeper understanding of yourself.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I believe that every person brings unique abilities, perspectives, and ways of engaging with the world. Rather than focusing only on challenges, I aim to understand your strengths, interests, values, and lived experiences within the broader context of your life.Throughout the assessment process, I strive to be collaborative, curious, and respectful. I’m attentive to factors such as masking, burnout, identity, culture, and past experiences, and I aim to provide feedback that feels accurate, balanced, and validating, helping you better understand yourself and advocate for your needs with confidence.
