About
Hi, I’m Christian Jené Williams, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I know it can take courage to start therapy, especially if you’ve spent a long time feeling misunderstood. I want our sessions to be a place where you can speak openly, ask questions, and feel respected as you are.I’ve spent over five years supporting people through anxiety, trauma, life changes, and difficult relationships. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I’ll take time to understand what matters to you, then draw from approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness to help you work toward your goals. We can adjust the pace and structure of our sessions to fit how you communicate and process things. You don’t have to become a different person to make progress. I’d be glad to help you better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and make room for a life that feels more like yours.
I’ve always been curious about how people experience the world and what helps them feel understood. That curiosity led me to counseling, and it’s part of what draws me to working with autistic and neurodivergent adults. I know many people reach adulthood having spent years trying to meet expectations that don’t fit them. I want to offer a space where you can talk about those experiences without having to explain away who you are. Together, we can explore what supports you, build on your strengths, and work toward changes that matter to you.
I start by listening to how you experience the world and what you already know about yourself. You are the expert on your life, and I want to understand your strengths, interests, values, and the ways you’ve learned to get through hard things. From there, we can identify what’s working, what support would help, and what you want to change.I’ll adapt our conversations to your communication style and pace. My goal is for you to feel comfortable being yourself in therapy while we build on your strengths and work toward a life that feels right for you.
