Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My motivation for working with individuals with autism stems from a deep respect for neurodivergent individuals and ensuring they are seen and integrated into all aspects of our communities. That individuals with autism are respected for their talents, gifts, strengths, perspectives, and contributions to all our communities.  My goal is to assist individuals in navigating challenges by building on their strengths and enhance their relationships and goals. We are a community and working together to ensure that all members of our community are included is my goal and desire to continue this work.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I prioritize a strength-based approach that sees the whole person.  I value the diversity of opinions, experiences, and perspectives. I believe that each person has abilities we can all learn from when we give ourselves the opportunity and keep an open mind. I actively listen to experiences, validate feelings, reflect on experiences, and create a space where individuals can share their thoughts, ideas, and experiences and truly be heard.
