About
I’m Cherry Wulf, LIMHP, a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner in Nebraska. I provide therapy to children, teens, and adults and am passionate about creating a space where people feel not only heard, but genuinely understood. What drives me as a therapist is the opportunity to build real connections with clients and create an environment where they feel comfortable being themselves. I believe therapy should feel collaborative, supportive, and genuine, with each person having the space to move at a pace that feels right for them.
I was drawn to working with autistic and neurodivergent clients because I saw how often people were being asked to change who they were in order to fit expectations that did not necessarily fit them. I became increasingly interested in helping clients better understand themselves rather than viewing differences as something that automatically needed to be corrected. I value being able to provide a space where clients can explore how they experience and interact with the world, identify what genuinely works for them, and develop strategies that support their individual needs and goals.
I approach each client with the belief that they are the expert on their own experiences. Rather than focusing solely on challenges or deficits, I work with clients to recognize the strengths, abilities, interests, and perspectives they already bring with them. When something is difficult, we work together to understand what may be contributing to that difficulty and identify strategies, accommodations, or skills that fit the individual rather than expecting the individual to fit a predetermined approach. My work is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and affirmation, with the goal of helping clients better understand themselves, build on their strengths, advocate for their needs, and create meaningful changes that support their well-being and quality of life.
