Welcome! I am honored to be of service to you. I am a licensed psychologist, with a specialty in suicidality. I have worked with thousands of survivors of suicide attempts, disasters, violence, and other life-threatening events. Many had a more difficult time than expected because of undiagnosed autism. I also specialize in gender diversity and, unfortunately, often witness the struggles that autistic adults experience related to authentic gender expression. Every person gets to travel on their own journey and my goal is to partner with you for this leg of the journey.
My private practice is nature-based as I have personally and professionally benefited from the healing energies of the great outdoors. Our world is truly amazing & I am passionate about helping others explore their inner & outer worlds! When I am “off duty” you can find me assisting my local psychedelic community with education and harm reduction efforts. Also, leading hikes in the nearby mountains, paddle boarding. camping, stargazing and chasing eclipses.
My motivation for working with autistic adults comes from years and decades of watching family, friends and clients suffer from a lack of understanding of how they are wired to function. I believe that the best gift you can ever give yourself is to find a way to be comfortable in your own skin and love the person you are today. Getting to that point reduces the suffering from guilt and shame about the way you think, feel and behave. My training and experiences have led me to be here now in this space and offer my skills to alleviate some of this suffering.
I believe that you are the expert on you! And you got to this point in life by cultivating strengths that allow you survive. Identifying, enhancing and empowering those strengths are how I bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to our work together. My goal is to help set you up for success by identifying strengths you already have, areas of opportunity to make improvements and concrete action plans to move forward successfully after completing an assessment.
