About
Hello, I’m Caroline Miller, a Missouri-licensed psychologist based in St. Louis who previously held licenses in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. For more than 15 years, I worked with nonprofit agencies providing assessment and testing services to disadvantaged and underserved individuals. I approach each assessment with warmth, curiosity, and respect, centering each client’s strengths and lived experience. My goal is to provide clear, practical reports that go beyond a diagnosis, help clients feel understood, and empower them to move forward with confidence.
My interest in autism assessment has deepened through working with adults whose autistic identities were overlooked or misunderstood earlier in life. I have seen how meaningful it can be to gain an accurate, affirming understanding of one’s strengths, differences, lived experiences, and support needs. My goal is to help autistic adults build greater self-understanding and self-advocacy, with practical tools for communicating their needs and helping others recognize and respect who they are.
I use a collaborative, neurodiversity-affirming approach that recognizes each client as the expert on their own experience. Along with identifying areas where support may be helpful, I highlight each person’s strengths, abilities, and ways of thinking without treating differences as deficits. My goal is for clients to feel heard, respected, and valued throughout the assessment process and to leave with greater self-understanding, practical supports, and confidence in advocating for their needs.
