About
Hello and welcome! My name is Carly Blackstone, I currently live in Washington, DC. I am licensed in DC, Maryland and Virginia as well as having the PSYPACT endorsement certification. As a psychologist, I am passionate about helping others uncover barriers to happiness. Together, we will delve into past and present behaviors, thoughts, and relationships, drawing connections that can inspire positive change. I use a combination of psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral techniques in my practice. I believe that our identities are shaped by a variety of influences, and the way we navigate our lives is built on both our history and our current circumstances.
My motivation for working with autistic adults stems from a deep respect for neurodiversity and a passion for fostering a space where every individual feels valued and empowered. I am inspired by the strengths, perspectives, and resilience of the neurodiverse community, and I strive to provide support that honors each person’s unique experiences. My goal is to help clients navigate challenges, build on their strengths, and develop skills that enhance their daily lives and relationships.
I believe that meaningful personal growth is possible for everyone through small, steady changes. My approach is affirming and strengths‑based, ensuring that each individual feels seen, valued, and empowered. I recognize that every person carries unique abilities and inner resources that can be harnessed to navigate challenges and pursue their goals. By listening deeply and validating their experiences, I create a safe, supportive space where they can express themselves authentically and move forward with confidence.
