About
Hi, I’m Dr. Whitlock. I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist with a strong background in Neuropsychology, Forensic Psychology, Autism assessment, and evidence-based treatments for trauma and personality disorders. I have specialized experience treating active-duty military members, U.S. military veterans, and military dependants. I am devoted to ensuring that every client receives effective services that are personalized to their culture, identity, beliefs, and goals.
My motivation for working with autistic adults is rooted in my desire to honor diversity. Each individual brings unique life experiences, values, and beliefs that have helped to shape who they are and how they interact with the world. I enjoy helping autistic individuals understand their own personal areas of strength so that they can build skills to achieve their own personal goals.
I believe that every individual has strengths and resilience that may not be easily identified by themselves or the outside world. I believe in helping individuals to identify their own abilities and how they have already overcome barriers and challenges. Blending validation and compassion for lived challenges with acknowledgment of strengths can assist an individual in building an identity that helps them achieve their goals
