Brooke Costa
About
Hello and welcome! My name is Dr. Brooke Costa, and I am a New Jersey licensed psychologist with over 30 years of experience in assessment and therapy with children, adolescents and adults. I have dedicated my career to helping individuals across the lifespan navigate life's complexities and discover their unique strengths. As a clinician, I focus on creating a safe environment for my clients, always presenting with empathy and acceptance and partnering with clients to work through challenges. Every individual is unique and I will always meet you where you are!
My interest in working with neurodivergent clients is rooted in both professional commitment and personal experience. My daughter's diagnostic journey provided valuable insight into the impact of timely identification and support, while also highlighting the challenges many women and girls face in obtaining accurate assessments. Recognizing that autistic traits can present differently in females, often leading to under recognition or misdiagnosis, I am committed to providing nuanced, compassionate and evidence-based assessment and care that acknowledges the unique experience of each individual.
Every client is unique and should have a safe environment in which to "show up" authentically. I actively listen, support and advocate for clients in order to help them recognize their strengths and capabilities in order to evolve and grow.
