About
Hey! My name is Brit Unverzart. I have previously worked in community mental health and the justice system, as well as in schools and the Air Force earlier in life. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine, collaborative space where you can show up as you are without judgment. I work with individuals who are seeking greater understanding of themselves, more balance in their lives, and support through life’s challenges. My approach is grounded in authenticity, compassion, and respect for each person’s lived experience. My role is to support you in noticing your strengths, building on what’s already working for you, and finding new ways to navigate what feels difficult. I’m committed to creating a safe and affirming environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported as a whole person. No two journeys are the same, and I value meeting you exactly where you are.
I’ve always valued understanding people as they are, rather than trying to fit them into expectations that weren’t built for them. Over time, I have seen that many individuals experience feeling misunderstood, overlooked, or pressured to mask parts of themselves. I want my work to be a space where you feel genuinely seen, accepted, and supported. I’m passionate about helping you better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and create a life that feels authentic to who you are and moves toward what feels true to you.
I believe each person comes into therapy with strengths, resilience, and wisdom that may not always be visible during difficult seasons of life. I use a strength-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach that recognizes differences as meaningful parts of who we are rather than problems to be fixed. As a neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, and disabled individual myself, I understand the importance of feeling seen, respected, and supported in spaces that honor identity and lived experience. I recognize how systems and societal expectations can shape the way people view themselves, and I will work to help you move toward greater self-understanding, self-compassion, and empowerment. My goal is to support you in embracing who you are and recognizing your own capacity for growth, healing, and fulfillment.
