About
Hello! My name is Britney Lopez and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California and Idaho. I am passionate about supporting individuals in building a life that feels more manageable, authentic, and fulfilling. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe to show up as yourself without judgment, masking, or pressure to fit a certain mold.My approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. I work with adults navigating depression, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Together, we focus on understanding your experiences, building practical tools that work for you and creating meaningful change in a way that feels realistic and sustainable.I value creating a therapeutic relationship where you feel genuinely heard, supported, and empowered throughout your journey.
I am passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients because I’ve seen how many autistic adults navigate life feeling misunderstood or pressured to mask parts of themselves in order to fit in. I strive to create a supportive, affirming space where clients feel comfortable showing up as their authentic selves without judgment or pressure to change who they are.My approach is rooted in neurodiversity-affirming care, with a focus on understanding each person’s individual strengths, challenges, communication style, and lived experiences. I enjoy helping clients develop greater self-understanding, build self-compassion, reduce shame, and find practical strategies that support their daily lives in ways that feel sustainable and empowering.”
I bring an affirming and strengths-based approach to my work by creating a space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted as they are. I believe each person has unique strengths, abilities, and perspectives, and I work collaboratively with clients to help identify and build on those strengths rather than focusing only on challenges or deficits.I prioritize validating each client’s lived experiences while supporting self-understanding, self-compassion, and growth. In my work with neurodivergent clients, I take a neurodiversity-affirming approach that honors different ways of thinking, communicating, and experiencing the world. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, supported, and better equipped with practical tools that align with their individual needs and values.
