About

Hi, I’m Breyana! I’m a licensed Psychologist based in New Jersey, and I’m passionate about helping people better understand themselves and navigate the different challenges that life can bring. I believe that everyone deserves to feel respected, supported, and comfortable being their authentic self when seeking care. I strive to approach my work with warmth, openness, and curiosity, while creating a space where individuals feel comfortable sharing their experiences. I enjoy helping people recognize their unique strengths, gain a deeper understanding of themselves, and identify ways to move forward with greater confidence and self-awareness.

Education & Licensure
Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Counseling Psychology, St. Elizabeth University, Morristown, New Jersey; Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology, College of St. Elizabeth, Morristown, New Jersey; Bachelor’s Degree, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, New Jersey
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My interest in working with autistic and neurodivergent individuals comes from my belief that being understood can be incredibly meaningful. I’m drawn to assessment work because it can provide people with greater clarity and a deeper understanding of themselves, especially when they may have spent years feeling different or unsure of why certain experiences have been challenging. I value the opportunity to listen to each person’s unique story, recognize their strengths, and approach the assessment process with curiosity and compassion. My hope is that the work we do together can help individuals feel more understood, empowered, and confident in understanding themselves and their experiences.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I bring a strengths-based and affirming perspective to my work by taking the time to understand each individual as a whole person, rather than focusing solely on areas of difficulty. I believe that every person has unique strengths, perspectives, and ways of experiencing the world that deserve to be recognized and valued. In my work with autistic and neurodivergent individuals, I strive to create an environment where clients feel respected, understood, and free to be themselves. I approach each assessment with curiosity and compassion, recognizing that challenges do not define a person or their potential. My goal is to help individuals gain a clearer understanding of themselves while identifying and building upon the qualities, abilities, and strengths that make them who they are.
