About

Hello! I am a licensed Psychologist in the state of California. I have extensive experience in psychodiagnostic assessment and my specialities include, but are not limited to, neurodivergent conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In addition to a history of providing psychodiagnostic assessments within my private practice, I have also worked for over 10 years working within the Regional Center system where I had the pleasure of assessing individuals seeking diagnostic clarity specifically regarding suspected neurodivergent processing and developmental disabilities or conditions. I am passionate about joining my patients in their journeys towards increased empowerment through providing additional clarity into their specific uniqueness. In my personal life as a foster mother, I have had the blessing of supporting real day-to-day challenges and admiring beautiful strengths within my multiple foster daughters with neurodivergent conditions.

Education & Licensure
I have Doctorate (PhD) and Master's Degrees in Clinical Psychology from the oldest private professional psychology school in California - The California School of Professional Psychology (now part of the Alliant International University).
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

In the beginning, I was motivated because I often witnessed how people were misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or dismissed - especially when their ideas or experiences did not fit narrow definitions or expectations. I continued to be motivated and inspired by my patients - whether that be their honesty, vulnerability, memory, insights, humor, perseverance, curiosity, knowledge, etc.  Over the past several years I have noticed that many individuals are having difficulty finding affordable, accessible resources for getting a diagnosis and/or for receiving specialized services. I am excited to work with Prosper Health to assist in addressing this social justice issue and to be part of a positive solution for increasing access to support.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

In establishing good assessment work, I believe that it is important for us to ensure that we are both honoring your unique strengths, abilities, and resources. In doing so, it is also important for me to understand what it is that supports you best through this very unusual setting of psychodiagnostic assessment. I consider your unique ways of coping as strengths to be respected and honored. I strive to provide a safe space where you can express yourself authentically, and I welcome your input on what best helps us work together as a team through the assessment process.
