About
Hello and welcome! I'm so glad you're here. I'm Bree Normandin, and I specialize in working with autistic and otherwise neurodivergent adults who have spent much of their lives feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, or like they had to hide who they truly are. I believe therapy should be a place where you don't have to mask or explain yourself. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, respected, and supported as we work together to better understand your experiences, build on your strengths, and create a life that feels authentic to you.
I chose to specialize in working with autistic and neurodivergent adults because I've seen how often they are misunderstood, overlooked, or asked to fit into a world that wasn't designed with them in mind. I have a deep respect for the unique ways neurodivergent minds think, learn, create, and connect. It is incredibly meaningful to me to help people move from asking, "What's wrong with me?" to asking, "How does my brain work, and how can I thrive?" Whether you're newly identifying as autistic, exploring ADHD, or simply trying to understand yourself better, I want you to know you don't have to navigate that journey alone. Together, we'll work toward greater self-understanding, self-acceptance, and confidence in living as your authentic self.
I believe the best therapy begins with understanding—not fixing. Rather than viewing autism or other forms of neurodivergence as problems to eliminate, I focus on helping you recognize your strengths, understand your needs, and develop strategies that work with your brain instead of against it. I strive to create a safe, affirming environment where you can communicate openly without fear of judgment or pressure to mask. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical, blending evidence-based therapies such as CBT, ACT, DBT, person-centered therapy, and other approaches to fit your individual needs. As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I understand many of these experiences from both professional and personal perspectives, and I believe that insight helps me offer therapy that is validating, respectful, and genuinely collaborative.
