About

Hello and welcome! I know choosing a therapist is a significant decision, and I'm honored you're considering me as your therapist! My name is Breanna Katz, I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW); I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, both moved to Denver, Colorado, in 2021, where I now call home. My passion for this work extends beyond the therapy room, and I am actively involved in neurodiversity advocacy and policy reform to help create more inclusive and affirming systems for our community. I am committed to creating a compassionate, affirming environment where neurodivergent individuals feel valued, understood, and empowered. Together, we can explore your unique experiences, build on your strengths, and develop tools that support the life you want to create.

Education & Licensure
Bachelors of Arts from Furman University, located in Greenville, SC; Masters of Social work (MSW) from the University of Texas at Arlington. located in Arlington, TX.
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My motivation for working with autistic and neurodivergent clients comes from both personal experience and a desire to challenge the stigma and misinformation that often surrounds neurodivergence. As someone with ADHD myself, I understand that neurodivergence is about so much more than attention or focus—it shapes how we experience emotions, relationships, communication, and the world around us.

I am passionate about providing neurodiversity-affirming care that helps clients better understand themselves, embrace their unique strengths, and create lives that feel fulfilling and authentic. My goal is to help clients move beyond shame and frustration toward greater self-compassion, confidence, and a deeper appreciation of who they are.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I bring an affirming and strengths-based approach to my work by first seeking to understand each client as a whole person - their experiences, values, strengths, challenges, and the ways they uniquely see the world. I believe every individual has developed skills, resilience, and strengths that have helped them navigate life, and I work collaboratively with clients to recognize and build upon those innate qualities.

My approach is rooted in compassion, empathy, and genuine curiosity. I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe being their authentic selves and know they are truly heard. Through active listening and validation, I help clients explore their experiences, develop self-insight, and find strategies that honor who they are.
