About

Hi and welcome! My name is Brandy Vail and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate mental health challenges, trauma and major life transitions. I am currently licensed in Montana, Idaho and Colorado. My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based practices that recognize the whole person—not simply a diagnosis or set of symptoms.

I have experience working with adolescents and adults in individual, family, and group settings, with a particular focus on trauma and complex trauma, co-occurring mental health concerns, crisis intervention, and recovery. I believe meaningful change begins with a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to participate actively in their own healing.

Education & Licensure
MS in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University; Bachelor of science in Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavioral Analysis from Kaplan University
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My motivation and interest in working with autistic and neurodivergent clients comes from a deep respect for the unique ways people experience and understand the world. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood, accepted, and empowered to be themselves. My goal is to help neurodivergent clients build on their strengths, navigate challenges, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful relationships and a life that feels authentic to who they are.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

As a clinician, I integrate approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed interventions, Internal Family Systems therapy and skills-based treatment to help clients develop practical tools for understanding and managing emotions, strengthening relationships, building healthy coping strategies, and creating sustainable change.

I am passionate about meeting clients where they are while also helping them recognize their strengths, build resilience, and move toward the life they want to create. My goal is to provide a therapeutic environment that is supportive, nonjudgmental, collaborative, and focused on both healing and growth.
