About
Hello, my name is Beata Pawelski, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist serving individuals throughout Florida, including the Greater Orlando area. I have more than 15 years of experience in the mental health field and have had the privilege of working with people across a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and life experiences. I am passionate about helping people become the best versions of themselves, whether through greater self-understanding, psychoeducation, or connecting individuals with resources and support that can help them thrive. I strive to provide a warm, collaborative, and compassionate environment where individuals feel safe to be themselves.
My interest in working with autistic and neurodivergent individuals is driven by a passion toward helping neurodivergent adults better understand themselves and their experiences. For many adults, pursuing an autism evaluation can be an important step in making sense of experiences that may have felt confusing, frustrating, or difficult to explain for much of their lives. I believe that understanding how your mind works—including both your strengths and the areas where you may experience challenges—can provide meaningful clarity and help you identify the support that is right for you.
I approach evaluations with curiosity, compassion, and respect for each person's individual experience. There is no single way to be autistic, and I don't believe you should have to change who you are or present yourself in a particular way to be understood. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can be yourself, share your experiences openly, and feel supported throughout the evaluation process. If you find parts of the assessment difficult or become overwhelmed, I want you to feel comfortable communicating that with me. We can slow down, take a different approach, and work through it together. I see an autism assessment as more than simply determining whether someone meets diagnostic criteria. It can be an opportunity for greater self-understanding, validation, and clarity—a chance to look at your experiences through a new lens and better understand your individual strengths, challenges, and needs.
