About
Hi there! Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. My name is Ashley and I am licensed in North Carolina. As a survivor turned provider, I believe in creating a safe environment for my clients to release any title and obligation in their life outside of showing up for themselves. I work with individuals in partnership to trace the sources of their beliefs and actions to assist in finding their why.
"Be the person that you needed when you were younger." Like many of us, I was diagnosed later in life; I was around 27 years old. From the first onset of my symptoms until I was almost 30, I lived with the idea that I just "wasn't trying hard enough," or that I was "weak" due to my symptoms. This coupled with surviving traumas led me to making several attempts to permanently end my suffering. It is now my honor to assist others in finding healthy ways to cope with life's circumstances as repentance to my younger self.
I believe in therapy assisting in areas that impact an individual's mind, body, and spirit. I am person-centered and humanistic so while my therapeutic approaches are rooted in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, the manner in which I present each approach is dependent of the individual. As a fellow "neurospicy" adult with high aspirations, I understand our population from beyond an intellectualized framework. I work with my clients to balance creating safe spaces to unmask while feeling comfortable navigating a society designed for the neurotypical.
