About

Taking the first step toward therapy isn’t always easy, and I want you to know that you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. My name is Ashley, and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia. As a BIPOC woman who is also part of the neurodivergent community, I understand how important it is to feel truly seen, understood, and accepted for who you are. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can show up as your authentic self without fear of being judged. I believe that some of the most meaningful growth begins with understanding yourself. Whether you’re looking to make sense of your experiences, strengthen your relationships, navigate anxiety, or embrace your neurodivergent identity, I’m here to support you with compassion, curiosity, and practical tools every step of the way.

Education & Licensure
Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Malone University, Ohio; Bachelors in Speech Language Pathology from Molloy University, New York.
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

One of the reasons I chose to work with autistic and neurodivergent adults is because this work is deeply personal to me. I understand what it feels like to receive a diagnosis later in life and to finally begin making sense of experiences that never seemed to fit before. That journey taught me the importance of self-acceptance, self-compassion, and embracing the unique ways our minds work rather than viewing them as something to fix. I became a therapist because I want to be a source of support for others who may be navigating similar questions about identity, belonging, and understanding themselves. My hope is to help you recognize your strengths, build confidence in who you are, and feel empowered to create a life that reflects your values and goals.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. I believe that every person has unique strengths and abilities, and together we’ll build upon those while developing practical tools to help you navigate life’s challenges. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, psychoeducation, and strengths-based approaches to help you better understand yourself, develop healthier ways of coping, and build greater emotional well-being. Above all, I want therapy to be a place where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely heard. My goal is to help you deepen your understanding of yourself, strengthen your relationships, build emotional resilience, and develop a stronger sense of confidence and self-acceptance so you can move forward with greater clarity and authenticity.
