Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

Dr. Berns specializes in the assessment and diagnosis of adults and older adults with neurological disorders, such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, epilepsy, MS, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia. She also has experience in the assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders and other mental health disorders.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I chose to specialize in working with autistic and neurodivergent clients because I believe every individual deserves to be understood through a lens of validation and respect. In my work with Prosper Health, my approach to Autism spectrum evaluations is rooted in compassion and affirmation. I am dedicated to recognizing and building upon each individual's inherent strengths. I am deeply committed to providing a safe, supportive environment that empowers my clients to embrace their unique identities and realize their full potential.
