About

Hello and welcome! I’m Dr. Arthur Bennett, a licensed clinical psychologist and board-certified school neuropsychologist living in Georgia. My background in special education, school psychology, and clinical practice has shaped how I approach care: I want to understand you as a whole person—your experiences, your strengths, and the challenges that brought you here. You may be looking for answers, wondering why certain parts of life feel harder than they should, or hoping to better understand how your mind works. Whatever brings you here, I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and sharing your story. I bring warmth, curiosity, and careful attention to our work together, and I value your perspective on your own life. What drives me is helping you turn understanding into practical steps forward. My goal is for you to leave our work with greater clarity, a fuller appreciation of your strengths, and recommendations that make sense for your everyday life.

Education & Licensure
Ph.D. in Clinical and Health Psychology from Fielding Graduate University; M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University; Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University; Ed.S. in School Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga; M.S. in Clinical Psychology (Behavior Analysis) from Jacksonville State University; B.S. in Clinical Psychology from Shorter College.
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My path to working with autistic and other neurodivergent clients grew through my work in special education, school psychology, and clinical neuropsychology. Across these settings, I’ve been drawn to understanding how each person learns, communicates, and experiences the world—and how the right support can make everyday life more manageable.I want you to have a place where you can share your experiences without feeling that you have to fit someone else’s expectations. I’m interested in what matters to you, what takes more effort than others may realize, and the strengths that may have gone unrecognized. Together, we can explore your questions, make sense of your experiences, and identify practical supports that respect who you are and help you move toward the life you want.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I start by getting to know you—your interests, values, abilities, and the conditions that help you feel comfortable and capable. I listen closely to your experiences and respect your preferences for how you communicate and participate in our work. You help define what meaningful progress looks like.Together, we identify strengths you already use and abilities you may not have had the opportunity or support to develop. We also make room to acknowledge what feels difficult or exhausting. I consider how your environment, expectations, and available supports affect your daily life, then work with you to find approaches that fit. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, recognize your capabilities, and pursue what matters to you while feeling respected for who you are.
