Intro
I'm Dr. Annie Ren, a BIPOC, queer, and neurodivergent psychologist. Finding the right diagnosis in adulthood helped me improve my self-care, relationship skills, therapy goals, and helped me find the community where I belong. My passion is helping others do the same. As a clinician, I believe in examining how gender issues, cultural influences, and intersectional identities influence neurodivergence, masking, and more. I look forward to getting to know you as a whole person through the lens of the background and unique experiences that led you to where you are today.
Psychodiagnosis has been my lifelong special interest and I have been in the field for over 17 years. I have specialized training in conditions commonly misdiagnosed in autistic individuals, including OCD, social anxiety disorder, and personality disorders. I believe finding the right diagnosis is key to finding the best-fit treatment, advocating for your needs in relationships and at work, and harnessing your strengths.
I believe that neurodivergence is both a disorder and a superpower. The best treatment goes beyond treating symptoms, and takes time to discover our superpowers and learn to harness them to work for us instead of always against us. I hope to help individuals and society move towards a place where neurodivergence is both a marginalized identity and also a gift.
