About
Welcome! Coming to counseling can feel like a big step. You don't have to have everything figured out. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and explore what is bringing you into counseling. Together, we will work towards the goals that matter the most to you as an individual.
I take a person-centered approach to counseling which means that I believe you are the expert on your own experiences. Counseling is a collaborative process where I am here to listen and support you without judgement.
I have a special interest in supporting neurodivergent adults because I believe everyone deserves counseling that recognizes and respects their unique ways of experiencing, communicating, thinking, and navigating the world. So, rather than changing who someone is, I believe therapy can help individuals better understand themselves, build the tools, confidence, and strategies to navigate life's challenges and live authentically .
In our work together, I incorporate person-centered counseling alongside other approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills when they are helpful for you. We can explore emotions, thoughts, relationships, communication, boundaries, self-advocacy, stress, and every day challenges while also practicing skills that fit your needs. I will honor your strengths and respect your preferences, communication style, sensory needs, identity, and lived experiences. Counseling will be a space where you will be heard, respected, and cared for while also being able to grow at your own pace.
