About

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the greater Chicagoland area. I have a deep commitment to personal growth and self-investigation, as well as community outreach and prevention services, advocacy, and multicultural competence. As a clinician, my work is informed by relational, family systems, and trauma recovery theories with specialized expertise in neurodiversity, learning, autism and ADHD, couples and family counseling, ACT, DBT, trauma-informed counseling, multigenerational and complex trauma recovery, traumatic loss and bereavement, and interpersonal process group therapy. My goal is to offer a supportive environment for each client's journey towards greater self-discovery, self-understanding, and ability to more effectively manage symptoms and enjoy meaningful participation in the world.

Education & Licensure

Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My experiences in educational advocacy and consulting as well as private practice have provided me with a deep understanding of the systems that impact the lives of autistic, gifted, and neurodiverse people across the lifespan. In collaborating with clients on the spectrum, I am continuously inspired by the willingness to learn and integrate information that helps them to improve self-awareness, and engage in greater personal growth and development of skills that foster meaningful relationships and life experiences.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

As a person who has lived with both the strengths and challenges of being neurodiverse, I am especially passionate about advocating and supporting assessment and diagnostic clarity that draws on a client's individual neurocognitive strengths and/or abilities that can lead them towards greater self-awareness, self-advocacy, and improved quality of life. I maintain a strengths-based, holistic, and collaborative approach to assessment and psychotherapy. I embrace each client's authenticity and integrate de-colonizing approaches to treatment, and strive to facilitate a safe, person-centered environment for racial and gender identity development, as well as trans allyship and LGBTQ community support.
