About

Hello and welcome! I’m Amber Popovitz-Gale, Psy.D., though you can call me PG for simplicity. I am currently located in Florida and am licensed as a psychologist in Florida, Indiana, Iowa, and California, with PSYPACT authority to provide remote services across participating states. My practice centers on comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations, with a particular focus on adult autism and neurodevelopmental diagnostics. I am committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and neurodiversity-affirming space where you feel respected and understood. My goal is to work with you to clarify diagnostic concerns and identify areas of strength, providing you with clear, actionable insights to support your treatment planning and personal growth.

Education & Licensure
Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, Adler University; Master of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology (in progress), Drake University; Master of Science in Clinical Counseling, Bellevue University; Bachelor of Science in Psychology, University of South Dakota
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I chose to specialize in working with neurodivergent clients because I deeply respect neurodiversity and value the importance of honoring each individual’s unique strengths and experiences. My motivation comes from collaborating with the neurodivergent community and appreciating the creativity, insight, and resilience that each person brings. I am committed to providing evaluations that recognize and affirm your abilities, perspectives, and needs. My goal is to work with you to identify clear, meaningful insights that can serve as a foundation for setting and achieving your personal and treatment goals.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

My approach is affirming and strengths-based, focusing on recognizing and highlighting your unique abilities throughout the assessment process. I strive to create a nonjudgmental environment by respecting your perspectives and approaching each conversation with openness and professionalism. This supports the ability to share authentically, even when discussing topics that may not have been shared before. This openness allows for the most accurate and meaningful diagnostic clarification and treatment planning. Through comprehensive evaluation, I synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations to support your next steps and help you set and achieve your goals. My practice is rooted in compassion, clarity, and a commitment to providing inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming care.
