About
Hey there! My name is Dr. Alyssa Ramdihal and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Florida. I am passionate about helping people better understand themselves and embrace the unique ways they experience the world. Throughout my training and professional career, I have provided psychological assessment and therapy services to individuals across the lifespan (children, adolescents, and adults) from diverse cultural backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. I am especially drawn to working with those who are part of the autism and neurodivergent community because I believe that self-understanding can be deeply empowering. My goal is to create an affirming and compassionate space where individuals feel seen, understood, and supported as they gain insight into their strengths, challenges, and authentic selves.
My passion stems from both my personal understanding of what it feels like to navigate systems that were not always designed with your needs or lived experiences in mind. As someone from a marginalized community, I understand the importance of being valued for who you are rather than how you differ from others. Being neurodivergent often means developing strengths and resilience that often goes overlooked in order to survive. I am particularly passionate about helping people gain greater self-understanding through the assessment process, as many spend years feeling misunderstood or questioning why certain experiences seem more difficult for them than for others. My goal is to help individuals better understand their unique neurotype so they can move forward with greater confidence, self-compassion, and a stronger sense of identity.
My approach is grounded in neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based, and culturally responsive care. I view autism and neurodivergence as natural variations in human thinking and experience of the world rather than deficits that need to be corrected. Whether conducting assessments or providing therapeutic intervention support/recommendations, I strive to create a collaborative environment where individuals feel safe to be their authentic selves. I believe that assessment is about more than reaching a diagnosis. It is an opportunity for validation, self-discovery, and empowerment. By taking the time to understand each individual's unique background, experiences, strengths, and goals, I can help navigate a deeper understanding of oneself and how to thrive in daily life, relationships, education, and careers.
