About

Welcome! My name is Dr. Allison Haig, and I am a licensed psychologist in Florida. I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, where I obtained training and clinical experience working with individuals with Attention-Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I enjoy performing assessments, because the process often provides individuals with meaningful and useful information. I am looking forward to getting to know you, and helping address your clinical questions.

Education & Licensure
Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, FL; M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, FL; B.A. in Political Science (with Psychology minor) from Eckerd College, St. Petersburg, FL
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

During my doctoral program, I completed two practicums at clinics dedicated to providing assessment and therapy services to individuals with ADHD and ASD, respectively. These early training opportunities helped me develop a strong appreciation for the differences and complexities amongst all of us. When completing an assessment, my goal is to develop a comprehensive view of you as a unique individual.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I strive to create a safe and welcoming space for you to share your experiences. During the assessment process, I utilize a strengths-based approach to help you feel respected, understood, and empowered. A strengths-based approach helps you identify how you can use your strengths to address and overcome challenges.
