About

Hello and welcome! My name is Dr. Allison Chung-Coyne. I'm a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania. I'm also authorized to work with clients in most of the US through PSYPACT. Through my assessment work, I aim to create a warm and collaborative environment where we can integrate symptoms, experiences, and multifaceted identities to best understand which possible diagnoses and recommendations fit each person. No matter the outcome, my goal is for every client to leave an assessment with greater self-understanding and meaningful next steps.

Education & Licensure
PhD in Clinical Psychology from American University; Bachelors in Psychology from Boston University
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I am motivated to work with neurodivergent adults to help people deepen their self-understanding through an integrated assessment. For adult clients who have lived without the certainty of a diagnosis their whole lives, clarity can help clients purposefully move forward with greater insight and a stronger sense of agency and self. Additionally, as an LGBTQ+ identifying clinician, the overlap between neurodivergence and the LGBTQ+ community is personally important to me in my goal to help clients find a sense of belonging and community.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

My ultimate goal is to help clients work with their brains instead of against them. Neurodivergence offers many unique opportunities for people to utilize their strengths and let their individuality shine. I strive to meet clients where they are, identify areas for growth, and affirm their abilities and identities to empower them meet their full potential.
