About
Hi there! My name is Alisha Lucero and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado. I have worked in the mental health field for 11 years now, first beginning at an adolescent treatment center in 2015, to various inpatient/outpatient mental health centers, and most recently in corrections. I am dipping my toes back into traditional, 1:1 therapy and would love to work with you! I have experience working with both adolescents and adults. I specialize in person-centered approaches and eclectic-style approaches, meaning I pull from various modalities and sources to best serve you and your needs. I have been told I'm down to earth, easy to talk to, and I pride myself on creating a safe space for every single one of my clients. look forward to meeting you and helping you along your journey.
My motivation for working with autistic/neurodivergent clients stems from a history of working with underserved populations, and a genuine desire to foster a space where every individual I work with feels valued and empowered. I pride myself on helping clients navigate challenges, build on their strengths, and develop skills that enhance their daily lives and relationships. Together, I fully believe we can work toward a life where you feel understood, supported, and able to thrive.
I prioritize an affirming and strengths-based approach to ensure that every individual feels seen, valued, and empowered. I believe that each client possesses unique strengths and abilities that can be harnessed to navigate challenges and achieve personal goals. I actively listen to their experiences and validate their feelings, creating a safe space where they can express themselves authentically.
