About
Hey there! My name is Alexis Hahn. I currently live in Virginia. I am licensed in Virginia and working towards obtaining the PSYPACT endorsement. I am passionate about working with underserved populations and individuals who have difficulty advocating for their mental health needs alone. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and understood. I use a strength-based approach to assessment, in focusing on your strengths to help you understand areas of growth and ways to move forward. It is a privilege to be a part of that process and I look forward to working together!
My commitment in working with autistic and neurodivergent individuals is rooted in my passion for working with underserved populations. Throughout my clinical work, I have a strong passion in working with individuals whom society often overlooks or is misunderstood. I have a history of working in a prison setting and have seen first hand the negative effects of misdiagnosis. Helping individuals receive appropriate diagnosis is essential to ensuring their wellbeing and receiving the best care possible.
I prioritize a strength-based approach into my work by intentionally talking with each individual I have the privilege of encountering by asking them personally about their strengths. As I get to know you, I then point out you resilience and challenges you have already overcome. I also get to know the individual from a holistic perspective starting with their early experiences to current functioning. My hope is that at the end of the assessment, you walkaway with the ability to identify your strengths and how you can use your strengths to make meaningful changes in your life.
