About
Hello! My name is Alexa Danoff. I currently live in New York City, and I am licensed in New York. I am passionate about helping people gain a better understanding of themselves and develop confidence in their unique identity. As a clinician, I strive to make my clients feel heard and validated so they feel comfortable delving into sometimes vulnerable and difficult work. With my background in School Psychology, I enjoy helping people navigate challenges and self-advocate in academic environments, such as graduate school. I also have much experience working with gender non-conforming and queer individuals, and I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all clients.
My motivation for working with autistic and neurodivergent adults stems from my belief in the power of being yourself. There is only one you, and it is a beautiful thing to be empowered with the knowledge to use your unique strengths to accomplish your goals in life. I empathize with how defeating it can feel to be ignored and misunderstood, and my hope is that a diagnosis or a better understanding of your psychological profile can strengthen your sense of personal identity.
I am eager to hear about your lived experience so we can work together to identify your strengths as well as aspects of life that are more challenging for you. My goal is to make this evaluation process affirming for you and helpful for gaining a clearer understanding of how you navigate the world. I believe that every person deserves to reach their fullest potential, and I strive to create a safe space where you can explore and feel affirmed in a neurodivergent identity.
