About
Hi there! My name is Alena Branson, and I'm a licensed psychologist based in Arvada, Colorado. My professional journey started with a love of the mountains and has evolved into a deep commitment to supporting individuals as they navigate the path toward self-understanding and authentic living. I'm passionate about creating a warm, affirming space where clients feel truly seen and valued for who they are. I conduct autism spectrum disorder (ASD) assessments for adults, and I believe that understanding yourself more deeply can be a powerful step toward living a life that feels genuinely yours. Every person's story is unique, and I'm honored to walk alongside you as you discover your strengths, embrace your neurodivergence, and build a life that reflects your true self.
My motivation for working with autistic and neurodivergent adults stems from a profound respect for neurodiversity and a commitment to honoring the rich, varied ways people experience and move through the world. I've witnessed firsthand the incredible strengths, insights, and resilience within the autistic community, and I'm inspired daily by the courage it takes to seek understanding in a world that doesn't always make space for difference. I chose to specialize in this area because I believe that diagnosis and support should be empowering—not limiting. My goal is to help clients gain clarity about themselves, validate their experiences, and access the tools and understanding they need to thrive. Whether you're seeking answers, affirmation, or a deeper sense of belonging, I'm here to support you in building a life where you feel understood, valued, and free to be yourself.
I bring an affirming, strengths-based approach to every assessment and interaction, grounding my work in the belief that neurodivergence is not a deficit, but a difference to be understood and celebrated. I prioritize listening deeply to each client's lived experience, honoring their perspective as the expert on their own life. My assessments are collaborative and transparent and my goal is for you to feel informed and empowered throughout the process. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can express yourself authentically, ask questions freely, and explore what an autism diagnosis might mean for you. My commitment is to provide clarity and validation while helping you build on the strengths that make you who you are, so you can move forward with confidence and self-compassion.
