About
Hello, I’m Alejandra Torrero (they/them), a licensed psychologist in California and New York. I work with young adults and adults who are seeking deeper self-understanding, healing, and growth. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, and I care deeply about helping you feel truly seen and heard. Together, we will identify your strengths and inner resources while shaping a thoughtful and personalized path forward.
My commitment to working with neurodivergent clients began in San Diego, where I worked as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapist. After completing my doctoral training in clinical psychology, I developed a strong passion for psychological testing and evaluation. My early work with neurodivergent individuals, combined with my training in assessment, shaped a deep dedication to helping people find clarity, understanding, and answers about their experiences. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel safe sharing your story. Together, we identify strengths and resilience, using them to guide personalized recommendations and meaningful next steps in your care.
As a non-binary, bilingual Latine psychologist, it is deeply important to me to affirm others in their journey through a values-centered approach to care. I believe each person holds a unique set of values that, alongside their strengths, guide how they navigate challenges and move toward meaningful goals. I am committed to helping you explore those values, to identify strengths and support your growth with compassion, affirmation, and culturally attuned work.
