About
Hello! I'm Koichi (Adam)! My pronouns are they/them. I'm non-binary. I live in and am licensed in Utah. I've been fully licensed for a year, practicing for five years. As a clinician, I bring humor, compassion, authenticity, and lightheartedness to therapy. I'm fun! I am easy to connect with. I enjoy helping people figure out difficult problems. I am here to help you on your journey of self-discovery! I teach skills for unmasking and reducing burnout.
I have been on my own path of discovering neurodivergence and I have a lot of empathy for people doing the same. A lot of the lessons I have learned apply to others in similar circumstances. I have gained a lot of skills to work with the community, including working in a clinic for neurodiversity prior to Prosper. I appreciate the honesty and authenticity of this community. I find it to be a community full of passion and insight. My goal is to help clients unpack past trauma, understand the neurodivergent brain, gain better social skills, and identify core values. I am here to help people walk the journey of unmasking and living a fuller, more meaningful life.
I try to see problems through the client's perspective. We all have unique struggles and I try to see those from the most compassionate perspective possible. I have experienced similar problems in my life and I understand the pain and difficulty of being neurodiverse. I am also keenly aware of the strengths this community has to offer. I have helped many neurodivergent clients access self-compassion and empowerment.
